Congratulations to the 14 National Cherry Queen Candidates who participated in the 2026 National Cherry Queen Candidate Selection Weekend, held May 29 & 30, 2026. Throughout the weekend, these remarkable young women embarked on a memorable journey that included three judged interviews, a cherry industry speech, a tour of a local cherry farm, and team-building activities while demonstrating their passion, poise, and potential before a panel of judges.
The four candidates with the highest overall scores were selected during the National Cherry Queen Selection on May 30 and will move on to the final round of competition during National Cherry Festival Week. Congratulations to Lillian Gray, Magdalen Kleinrichert, Aubrey Manchester, and Georgia Walker. Each finalist received a $1,500 scholarship to the school of their choice, a festival wardrobe, and all-expenses-covered participation throughout Festival Week in Traverse City.
The weekend also provided educational and motivational seminars designed to help candidates strengthen their skills, build confidence, and create lasting memories.
