Miss Georgia Walker
Georgia is the 24-year-old daughter of Clary and Laura Walker of Traverse City. She is a
2019 graduate of Traverse City Central High School. In 2022, she graduated summa cum
laude from the University of Michigan, earning a degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and
Neuroscience with a focus in pre-medicine. During her time at the university, Georgia
served as President of CURE Umich and Social Media Director for M-STARs.
Georgia is currently a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines, where she combines her love of
travel with her passion for serving others. Georgia has visited twenty-four countries, yet
no matter how far she goes, Traverse City will always be her favorite place. In her free time,
she enjoys paddleboarding, painting, baking, yoga, and spending time with family and
friends.
At just two days old, Georgia attended her first National Cherry Festival. In first grade, she
served as Woodland Schools' Cherry Princess, an experience that inspired her to one day
become the National Cherry Queen. Her favorite time of the year is the Cherry Festival, as
it brings together the people she loves most and celebrates everything that makes the
Traverse City Area so special.
As the 100th National Cherry Queen, Georgia would be honored to serve the community
that helped shape her into the young woman she is today by encouraging agricultural
education, advocating for local farming initiatives, and spreading cherry spirit across
Michigan and beyond.
Georgia is graciously sponsored by
Wild Birds Unlimited and
Wash-N-Go Car Wash.
