National Cherry Festival Announces Final
Bay Side Music Show Following Ludacris Cancellation
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — The National Cherry Festival is excited to announce the final Pepsi Bayside Music Stage concert, featuring an evening of outstanding Michigan bands, to close out the historic 100th National Cherry Festival on Saturday, July 11.
It was announced late last week that Ludacris was no longer able to perform at this year's Festival due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict. All ticket holders were automatically refunded to their original form of payment.
While plans have changed, the Festival is looking forward to ending this milestone celebration by showcasing outstanding local musical talent. The evening will feature three exceptional Michigan bands, each bringing its own unique sound to the Pepsi Bayside Music Stage.
Knee Deep will kick off the night with an energetic mix of classic rock favorites, delivering the high-energy performances and crowd interaction that have made them a favorite throughout Northern Michigan.
Traverse City-based Broom Closet Boys will keep the celebration going with an eclectic mix of hits spanning multiple decades and genres, featuring everything from classic rock to pop favorites that keep audiences singing along.
Closing the evening, The Insiders will bring the timeless music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to life with an acclaimed tribute performance that has earned praise from audiences across the Midwest.
"Our 100th Festival has always been about celebrating community," said Kat Paye, Executive Director of the National Cherry Festival. "We're excited to close this historic year with an evening that highlights talented local musicians and brings everyone together for one final night of music on the bay."
Admission is just $5. Gates will open at 5:15 p.m., with the first performance beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
The evening will conclude with the Festival Finale Fireworks over West Grand Traverse Bay, providing a memorable ending to the National Cherry Festival's historic 100th celebration.
