General Parade Questions

What are the dates and times of the Parades?

Heritage Parade Tuesday July 3, 2018 7:00 pm
Junior Royale Parade Thursday July 5, 2018 6:30 pm
Cherry Royale Parade Saturday July 7, 2018 11:15 am

What are the parade routes?

All parades start at Railroad and Front Street, traveling West down Front and then South on Union.

The Junior Royale Parade ends on 7th Street at Central Grade School.

The Cherry Royal Parade and Heritage Parade end on 13th Street

How long does the parade last?

The length of the parade depends on the number of entries. We try to keep each parade to less than 2 hours long. Tuesday's and Thursday's Parade are shorter than Saturday's Parade.

Where is the Parade Line up?

The parade line up is included in the Official National Cherry Festival Program.

What can I sell during the parade as a street vendor?

This opportunity is only open to children. If your child would like information on selling along the parade route, please click here.

What about the weather? Will we be notified if the parade cancels?

Yes, all attempts will be made to ensure that any information regarding weather delays or cancellations is relayed to both the public and the parade entries. All parade participants will be given specifics on the method used to disseminate the information

What streets are closed to traffic?

State St, Railroad Ave and Franklin St are all closed for Staging.

Front Street and Union Street are closed for the parade.

I live in the staging area. How do I get home?

Join us on June 21st, 6:00pm at F & M for a neighborhood party and to receive more information on getting around during the staging of the parades.


What is the chair policy?

Parade Entry Questions




Can we throw candy?

No. Candy or hand outs are allowed to be thrown from the vehicles or floats. Candy may only be handed out by the walkers who will be walking behind the unit.

Can my child participate in the Junior Royale Parade?

Yes. More info to follow.
