Calling All Volunteer Teams!
It’s that time of year again. The sun is shining, the temperature is rising, the cherry trees are preparing for the upcoming cherry season, and the National Cherry Festival is in full recruitment efforts – and we would like for you to join us this year as a Volunteer Team during the Festival which runs Saturday, July 7th through Saturday, July 14th!
What’s a Volunteer Team you ask? A Team is any group of six or more individuals from local companies, civic/service groups, churches, and clubs (just to name a few) that wish to volunteer together. It’s a fun way to build relationships within your organization and the community.
Here are Just Some of the Benefits of Being a Volunteer Team
- Great marketing exposure by promoting your organization by wearing your logo gear (t-shirts, hats, buttons, etc..) while volunteering
- Opportunities to connect with community members and take part in a nationally-recognized Festival in a highly visible setting
- Recognition in the Official National Cherry Festival Program and other Festival-related media
- Potential leadership opportunities within the NCF
- Working together is a wonderful way to build camaraderie and organizational spirit

Sounds Great! How Do We Sign Up?
- The Designated Team Leader should call the National Cherry Festival at (231) 947-4230 no later than May 21st to register your Team. Team slots fill up quickly, so don’t wait!
- When the Team Leader calls to register we will give your group a special Volunteer Team Code (i.e., VolntrFun) that will be unique to your Team
- The Team Leader will then share the unique code with all participating Team Members and each individual will go to: www.cherryfestival.org, click on the Volunteer Tab. This will take them to the Volunteer Portal to register themselves on your Team.
It’s That Simple!
Requirements
- One member of the group serves as the Team Leader to organize the group, make the initial plans and recruit the rest of the team
- You must have 6 or more people to be considered a Volunteer Team
