Join National Cherry Festival, Habitat for Humanity, GTR, The Filling Station and Traverse Area District Library at the Depot Neighborhood Picnic on July 6th at Hull Park in downtown Traverse’s growing new neighborhood. An old-fashioned picnic is the perfect time for making lasting memories, enjoy delicious food, and engage in some outdoor play.  Hull Park is one of Traverse City’s best kept secrets with its grassy location and picturesque spot on Boardman Lake. FREE fun-filled activities including face painting, scavenger hunt, fun walk around Lake Boardman, sidewalk art & watermelon eating contest.  This event is RAIN OR SHINE!   Pull out the lawn chairs and blankets, grab the Frisbee and football and head out for some sunshine and fun times with the kids. Live music, good food and activities to be enjoyed by all. Picnic runs from noon to 3 pm offering a BBQ hot dog, chips and a beverage, $1 for kids and $3 for adults. Proceeds to benefit Habitat for Humanity, GTR and The Children's Garden.  Best of all, firemen from our Traverse City Station will park their truck at Hull Park for kids to explore (provided they don’t get called to a fire!)
