Open Director and Assistant Director Positions

Event Director positions available:
Greeters Co-Director
Are you outgoing and love to meet new people? If so, then this Event Director position is for you. Our Current Greeters Event Director is looking for an enthusiastic Co-Director to greet Festival-goers as they arrive at the Festival Open Space. Duties include overseeing and helping procure volunteers to greet Festival-goers, hand out informational items, maps, brochures, etc… Time commitment is attendance at monthly Event Director Meetings the second Tuesday of the month beginning February 2012 through August, and 1-2 hours a week as the Festival approaches. Festival week time commitment would be over the 8 days - Saturday July 7th to Saturday 14th, as well as Festival tear-down on Sunday July 15th.
Mr. Cherry
Are you creative, animated and love kids? Mr. Cherry has become a Festival icon with kids and has quite the reputation! His calendar is filling up quickly and he needs a Manager to oversee all his engagements and personality. Mr. Cherry likes to visit Elementary Schools and special events throughout the year, as well as many events during Festival week. Time commitment is attendance at monthly Event Director Meetings the second Tuesday of the month beginning February 2012 through August, and 2-3 hours a week as the Festival approaches. Festival week time commitment would be over the 8 days - Saturday July 7th to Saturday 14th, as well as Festival tear-down on Sunday July 15th.
Assistant Director positions available:
• Brat Tent (1 position available)
• Cherry Idol (1 position available)
• Cherry Pit Spit (1 position available)
• Special Kids’ Day (1 positions available)
All Assistant Directors will help assist the Event Director, in the various above events, in planning, organizing, managing volunteers, and registration (if applicable,) and the overall smooth running of the event. Time commitment is attendance at monthly Event Director Meetings the second Tuesday of the month beginning February 2012 through August, and approximately 1-2 hours a week as the Festival approaches. Festival week time commitment would be over the 8 days - Saturday July 7th to Saturday 14th, and Sunday, July 15th.
