Q.What are the dates for upcoming National Cherry Festivals?

A. The Festival normally begins on the first Saturday of July each year. July 7-14, 2012 (tentative), July 6-13, 2013 (tentative)

 

Q. Are the Blue Angels attending in 2012?

A. The Blue Angels will not be attending in 2012 as they will be commemorating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. 

 

Q. How do I get information or an application for the Arts and Craft Fair?

A. Please call the Downtown Traverse City Association at 231-922-2050 or via email since they handle all the details for the Arts and Crafts Fair.  You can also log onto www.downtowntc.com.

 

Q. What do I need to do in order to be a street vendor during a parade?

A. Please contact the Festival office at 231-947-4230. We only accept children ages 10 to 17 selling pre-packaged items (pop, chips, candy bars, etc.) for the Junior and Cherry Royale Parades only.

 

Q. Where can I park?

A. Parking is available in the Larry C. Hardy Parking Deck located on Front & State Streets, as well as a number of public lots around the city.

 

Q. Is there handicap parking available?

A. Handicap parking is located in the Marina Parking Lot just east of the main Festival enterance. A valid handicap sticker is needed for admittance.

 

Q.  Are Dogs allowed in the Festival Open Space Park?

A.  For the safety of the dog and Festivalgoers, dogs are not allowed in the Open Space Park during Festival week. However, dogs are allowed in the Open Space Park at any other time of the year.

Certainly, dogs are welcome at Tuesday's Pet Show! Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., at F&M Park on the corner of Railroad and State Streets.  One of the most popular children's events with registration from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Entries are open to "Live" pets, and categories include best dressed, pet and owner look-alike, fat cat, most unusual pet, ugliest mutt, and famous pairs. F&M Park at Railroad and Washington Streets.
