Thursday, July 9 - Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes Opening - The Corvairs
Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes were the second band after Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band to emerge from the New Jersey shore scene. Longtime fans of Southside’s smokey voice and soulful delivery, as well as inevitable new converts, will be pleased that he stayed close to his roots. That’s the magic captured on "Messin’ With The Blues." With the sound of a phonograph needle descending into the grove, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes are back doing what they do best: evoking the funky, late-night ambience of a down-and-dirty juke-joint, where ecstatic patrons dance on tables while the band blows hot straight through ‘til dawn. Rolling Stone Magazine is correct in calling "Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes the World's Greatest Bar Band". Sponsored by:
