Art Competition
Calling all Artists!
It is with great pleasure that the National Cherry Festival announces they will reinstate the Adult Art Competition after a three year hiatus.
Since the Commemorative Print program started in 1988, the Festival has received some magnificent artwork through the years all depicting our favorite fruit, the cherry.
Now it’s your chance to showcase your artistic talent. Download the Festival’s Art Competition application and rules above. Artwork submissions are due to the National Cherry Festival by Monday, April 16, 2012. The Festival’s office is located on the third floor of the Chase Bank Building (corner of Front and Park Streets) in downtown Traverse City. The physical address is 250 E. Front Street; Suite 301; Traverse City, MI 49684.
The Festival will hold their annual Spring Press Conference in late April to unveil the winning art. New this year, the Festival will incorporate an Art Gala showcasing all art received with the Spring Press Conference. At this time, the Festival will unveil to the public the winning art from both the Adult Art Competition, as well as the Student Art Competition.
The Student Art Competition is held for students 18 years and under in 1st through 12th grades. Students can submit artwork in the form of Fine Art and Graphic Art. An application can also be downloaded above.
